Smarties Academy Montessori and Afterschool ethos aims to provide a homely feeling for all; children, parents and staff members. We want to provide this along with a safe environment where imagination, encouragement and quality learning come together to offer a magical world for each individual. 

 

Following the Montessori approach, we believe in the uniqueness and potential of our children and nurture these by guiding them to choose the appropiate materials to satisfy their curiosities and to develop their senses. For that, our immense variety of Montessori equipment going from 2 up to 12 years old will enable our children no matter what age, to achieve their maximum potential and to support what they do in school. We will go even further in their learning through play and fun, building their self confidence and independence all along the journey.

Our premises have two nice and bright rooms with lots of natural light coming from the garden; ideal for the number of children we cater for (around 25 altogether) and a back yard for them to play. 

 

With our care service we include lots of fun and excitement with the best of extracurricular activities so the children are able to make the most of their time with us in a relaxing and caring environment.

 

We provide breakfast; 10 am fresh fruit; homemade and healthy mediterranean based dinners cooked on the day by our Italian Chef; tea time (variety of sandwiches, soup and yogurts, beans on toast...) and 5 o'clock snack (crackers, raisins or apricots).

 

We are very proud of our team in Smarties Academy. All our staff members are passionate, dedicated to the children, highly qualified, garda vetted and have many years of experience in the childcare sector.

 

Two of the teachers are Spanish native speakers and will be the ones in charge of these sessions during the week, bringing to the lessons not only new words but also their culture.

Then, our amazing Irish Teachers will look after the homework club and Irish activities, ensuring this way that our children learn the right pronunciation and the best language skills.
